Science Connections is a company focused on bringing the fun and excitement of science to your group or classroom. Located in the DC metro area, we specialize in exploring STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) topics with hands-on activities that bring science alive! Each program and activity has been designed with Next Generation Science Standards in mind to ensure that it is not only fun but also educational. Each program can be customized with your group’s interests or your classroom's curriculum in mind.

About Dr. Bertke
Dr. Michelle Bertke earned her B.S. in Zoology from Kent State University in 2007 and her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Notre Dame in 2014. Between those degrees, she worked in Elkhart, IN with Elkhart Envirocorps, an Americorps program focused on environmental education and public land management. While at the University of Notre Dame, she was a member and coordinator of the Chemistry Demonstration Outreach team. Since 2008, she has conducted outreach programs and demonstration shows for all ages and believes that science is exciting and fun!
